Like many individuals
My day has many rituals:
I work and play
The same old way,
With actions quite habitual
For instance: I write poetry.
It tends to get the best of me:
So I will rise
With still-closed eyes
A turn out a small battery
Of poems about everything
That’s going on, or anything
That comes to mind
Ahead, behind,
In waves of rhyme and wallowing
I was not always versified,
I was once more diversified;
My idée fixe
For sure reflects
My OCD, just amplified
Why do I write here on WordPress?
Why are my days now such a mess?
It’s 4 AM
But here I am
This really doesn’t help with stress
But habits most familiar
Do make our lives seem easier
And so I’ll write
All through the night
And reading it won’t
