Who was she
To do this to you?
What right did she have
To make your life hers,
To shape your future through a
Prism made, not from your dreams,
But her own failures
And disappointments.
Who was she?

No mother
Owns their own children
Strange as it may seem.
They are caretakers, farmers,
Not venture capitalists
Staking future claim
On their investments.
That's not right.

Who she was
Turned into, at last
What she did
