interconnected (v)

a sister and a daughter, 
a watcher and explainer, 
a runner of the fields, 
a coach and a campaigner 

she was not given those same gifts 
bestowed upon the brother, 
but asked to fill a role, and be 
a whole thing other. 

without as much attention 
she looked for things to savor: 
she wasn't warped as much by what 
her parents never gave her 

it's hard when you feel second-best, 
but she just felt that barely, 
because she loved her brother, and 
she thought of such things
