Everything vital to the individual is irrelevant to society; much that is vital to society is irksome to individuals. Freedom of opinion has become irrelevant: modern views are couched as somehow better than mere opinions, even when they are clearly both culturally-driven and subjective. Laws, rules, and norms are vexing to actual people, who ignore them whenever possible. Society appears ill-suited for its actual members.
