the miracle hectare

 the seeds that barely are
 the ways that empty seem
 the hidden growing thing
 the hot essential beam
 the water that gets everywhere
 bringing its wet malaise
 the waiting that feels emptier
 amid redundant days

we were then we were not
 and yet somehow we grew
 the miracle again took place
 and we were born
