Scenes from Home – 3

I do not know this berry,
I do not know this tree:
I send a picture to my wife,
In short she answers me:

That is a Chinaberry tree.
About two bites can kill you.
I hope you’re reading this, and not
There dead beside the road.

I get back in the car to go,
But have to stop and smile:
To think of the beautiful, deadpan woman
I’ll see in

A while
