Or is there more I need to know?
I’ve tried, across the sounding sea
To sing your song where’er I go.
The song I sing, it is of you,
With ev’ry lyric strong, and true.
And yet, you doubt me, ceaselessly;
The you, that should believe in me.
Believe in me, when times are bad;
When tempers flare, and hearts feel sad.
Believe in me, what e’er you do:
Believe I will be there for you.
So will you now believe in me
And know I will not disappear?
Or will your hope give way to doubt
And all your life
Be spent
In fear?
