The Motor Court

The motor court is from the time that gave us drive-in movies;
Back then, we rarely ever left our cars:
It gave us drive-up diners, also full-serve service stations,
Most everything, ‘cept maybe drive-in bars.

You’d pull up to a motel, and be three feet from your bedroom,
Much more than that was just too far to hike —
You do not see them much these days, except a few old relics,
But back when, they were anywhere
