Where My Money Went

For more years than I’d like to tell
I threw coins in each wishing well
I happened on; e’er with the view
Of wishing I could be with you

In dreams, I had you at my side,
And left a fortune scattered wide,
To feed the hope I’d one day see
That you could love someone
Like me
