I’ve never seen a vampire,
A zombie or a ghost;
I have no fears of them, although,
I have more fears than most
To make this Halloween, therefore,
Stand out from other years:
I thought I’d catalog, instead,
Our normal, daily fears
The things that cause us angst, and make us doubt:
For fear is what this day is all about…
I have just begun to explore your ‘Everyday Fears’ series of verses. WOW! What a great concept, and an even more exceptional execution of meanings and poetic purposes! ~ Eric
Thank you – I was casting around for a Halloween subject and this suggested itself, probably because I was thinking the usual Halloween tropes aren’t the things people really fear.
