So tell me what you see.
A unjust world where good folks try,
And bad ones thrive through alibi,
With peace and hope in short supply,
A line of hatred in the sky.
Well, that’s not what I see:
Oh, true, I do see good folks try,
But love is its own reason why:
Whatever’s lacking, we supply,
The best we can; and though we die,
It’s worth the time we’re here to try,
A line of wonder in the sky.
I wish that I could see (he said)
What you see, clearly, overhead.
Perhaps you will, one day, my friend.
For though I see, I do not
Comprehend
Wonderful! I’m not sure that there are many who do comprehend now!
