Sentenced to Fear

We don’t fear because we do not understand; we fear because we know that we cannot know.

Hatred is said to begin in fear, but fear often begins out of concern for those we love. Fear at least indicates commitment.

They say fear is a choice; if so, its a choice we don’t get to make.

Often, fear feels like you’ve actually been through the catastrophe you feared, only you don’t get any sympathy and can’t collect insurance.

In the end, we fear death in proportion to the degree we fear we’ve wasted life.
