This is life, and there’s no knowing
What may come or what’s to be:
So, create your destiny.
Planting peace and never harming,
Friending, fasting, feasting, farming
All the crops we sew, and reap:
Cherished ones to hold and keep –
There’s a foible – you don’t mind it –
Beauty’s where you make, or find it –
Learning, living, loving, growing,
Understanding,
over
flowing
Joyful is this what I read.
So what you sow, I read and I keep.

I think of this as a train poem, a similar meter to part of WH Auden’s The Night Mail. Love it!
