7 Longings – 7

That last day
She wrote out on
The beach

The sun set on
Her newly minted
Tan

There was
Hawaiian barbecue
Nearby

It seemed to end
The same day
It began

That trip it was
A visit to
A dream

But we were young
And couldn’t
Really know

That sometimes
Just one visit’s
All you get

So when you get the chance
Be sure

To go
