Snapshot: Lost, Exhausted

I saw them lost, exhausted, out
Along the aging rail;
A couple, young and handsome,
Powers gone, and tempers frail —

She placed her head upon his shoulder
As he read a map;
No matter what the age,
The lost, exhausted need
