Get With Me

He looked around,
And told her,
This is it:

You do not
Have to show me

The deed was done
In ninety minutes

She left the keys,
And then walked out
The door.

He looked around,
And thought
I have arrived —

So many doubters
Said I’d
Never see

My work pay off,
And years of dreams
Come true:

Now all the girls
Will wanna get
With me.

He’d seen the movies:
Rich guys get
The girls.

He’d read the stories,
Then done what
He should —

But when they go
For wealth, it’s always

He didn’t know that
Yet, but soon,

He would
