The sun on fire sets alone

The sun on fire sets alone,

Untouched by searching sea;

Unnoticed day gives way to night,

And impassivity

 

The waves bring in the grass and foam,

Their sound, a mystery —

The sun on fire sets alone,

And so, tonight,

Must we
