Here’s the story …

Here’s the story: once there was,
And is, a bit of friendship like
Drops of honey dripping off
The twisting of a butter knife —

Here’s the story: once there was,
And is, a bit of quietude,
Still as snow on hillsides sleeping,
Air to soothe a troubled mood —

Have you heard, or have you wondered?
Do you feel what others feel?
Is there no place safe from thunder?
Can you keep an even keel?

Where the winds are blowing, blowing,
There the mind keeps going,
Going

Here’s the story: once there was
A human, doing what he does,
Lost in thoughts and ideas steeping,
Honey dripping, hillsides sleeping,

Hearing, wand’ring,
Feeling, saund’ring,
Reminiscence
Making, maund’ring

Here’s the story, there’s the tale,
Life’s a breath, and so

Inhale
