stand alone

the truth is made of marmalade,
the world is made of dreams;
the bravest now must stand alone,
or so it seems —

the world’s comprised of you-and-i’s,
the truth sits lonely, shining:
and why it all must be this way
there’s no
divining

  1. “golden” ambient light that shines around the corner and joins its sister lights in something much more enduring than You and I. It only seems to stand alone. you’ve created a a lovely image in your poem.
