Watercolor Stain

If I could have that day again,
Beneath the summer sky of possibility,
Then I could put the stars in place
That fell in showers glistening and burning me

For you and I were pen and ink
Beneath a watercolor stain —
And tears and colors wouldn’t run,
If I could only have that day

  1. Lovely poems- Only when i put my brush down my mind is flooded with the reality of loss and the dreams are shattered. Then thoughts pour out in words and the words only burn the hurt deeper. As Peter has remarked you often seem to be writing our thoughts or to our thoughts which is frankly pretty neat. best (or worse) of all you inspire me to take a try at writing poetry too.
