The Price The Tribe Demands

Uniformity
In thought and look and feeling

Conformity
In action and in word

Atrocity
That’s overlooked, or sanctioned

Capacity
To swallow the absurd

Mendacity
In reasons for our reasons

Opacity:
To hide what’s true or real

Complicity –
Acceptance of what’s evil

And paucity
In truth to what we feel

Author: Beleaguered Servant

Owen "Beleaguered" Servant (a/k/a Sibelius Russell) writes poetry mostly, with an occasional pause to have a seizure.
