The Dream Lived Here Once

The dream lived here once,
So did you;
But years rolled on
Into the blue

Yet still: you haunt these
Silent halls –
Your presence here,
Inside these walls –

Our arrows aimed at other hearts:
We messed up lines; we left out parts –
And all the things that started good?
They ended, other than they should –

The dream lived here once,
So did you
And so did I

But I

Still do

  1. Dear Owen,
    Your poem is too true.
Where do our Favorite people and Loved ones go?

I can see mine in my memory like a solid figure standing across the hall. However I am unable to reach them and say how much I care. I think they hear me sometimes but they are unable to respond. The crazy thing is I know they are alive and well, to connect is unattainable though.
    Most Sincerely,
    Sam Sutlive.
