In the Mist

Morning —

In the mist
opportunities, in a daze
of my life, I see
side or riverside pail

to insignificance

Morning
my losses, and whole
in my pocket, I wade
down with care, into water

you doing

In the past
by with time’s soldiering
on, but not up, lifting
my spirits in two

oblivion
