Too Good to be True

If life seems to good to be true,
Just love someone who won’t love you;
Then you will see – it’s all in flux —
(The cosmos is.)
And, yeah —

Love sucks


I saw her reading on the leaves
And sat down there beside her;
Her hair was auburn as the trees,
Her vest was lined with eider

I stroked her hair back from her face,
We knew this was goodbye;
For love had died among the leaves,

But still, I don’t know
