The old school’s being torn down soon.
For years, this place has thrived
On evidence humanity
Has more-or-less survived.
But now, the place is full of ghosts.
The sun takes one last peek —
Where many people learned to cool
And others learned to geek
The years of music still I hear;
Each face I still can see —
But very soon, there’ll be no trace
Of all this history
But there’s no need to mourn,
No funeral here to be arranged —
The new school’s just across the way,
And not that much
Has changed
Monumental versing. Nice piece. Enjoyable.
