Dressed Up Corpses

I’m reprinting this one exactly as it originally appeared.

Desiccated
Dead and buried
Should have then been
Left to rot

Celebrated
Prizes, varied
Out displaying
What they’ve got

Rancid cider
Brewed in batches
Drunken choices
Heart and head

Deadly spider
Stolen snatches
Robbed from voices
Of the dead

Author: Beleaguered Servant

Owen "Beleaguered" Servant (a/k/a Sibelius Russell) writes poetry mostly, with an occasional pause to have a seizure.

    1. Thanks, Drew. I seem to see nihilism everywhere; these days, they put nice clothes on it.

      1. It’s the fabulously trendy slender headless ones that freak me out – especially when I’m alone in the women’s department ! Downright spooky.
