Some places they drink soda,
And others they drink pop;
Still others call them soft drinks
And they aren’t going to stop
Here in the south they call it “Coke”
No matter what it is:
I don’t care what you call it.
Just give me
A drink
With fizz

🙂 cool!
HAPPY weekend! 🙂
Everyone in the Northeast for all my life called it tonic. My husband (from Long Island) marveled at hearing it, and asked if we bought it from a traveling salesman with a horse and buggy out at the edge of town. (And that leads to, What do Southerners call a buggy?)
We call shopping carts buggies, heaven knows what we called buggies. Maybe carts.
I’ve heard “traps,” “prams,” “surrey”…
